Business is Picking up for the Ladies!...

before yesterday's post, it had been a few months since i blogged. between learning to sew, babysitting, church and life in general, i had to put blogging aside. but i'm back. a lot has happened in the world of ladies wrestling, since i was last on here. i'll be including a bit of TNA, 'casue they have some great wrestling and story lines right now. so let's get to it. the good, the bad, and the ugly.

the good...
steph vs aj - AMAZING!!! I wished for this moment when aj was general manager, but that wasn't the plan ( even though that would have been incredible too!). aj basically calling steph old and steph threatening to fire aj, was spectacular. her interaction with the other divas telling them to never interrupt her was excellent too. rumor has it, someone interrupted steph backstage, she didn't like it, and management turned it into a part of this segment. either way, this was a hell of a segment. well done ladies!

aj's finisher - black widow=awesomeness. 'nuff said.

the first ever divas contract signing - this segment surprised me, in a very good way. i figured with that many divas there (they all played a very small part here), along with the table and chairs, not too much action would take place, since WWE is PG and they normally don't let the divas get too rough. it started off slow and boring, and I expected it to stay that way and end with a slap fest. boy, was i wrong. this was the best diva segment i have seen in a while, probably since the lay-cool/piggie james days. aj doing the hulk smash imitation of kaitlyn was hilarious. teddy long's "we ain't got time for all that" line was priceless. teddy and big e's faces when aj slapped kaitlyn was pretty funny. this is the first segment kaitlyn has ever done that i truly saw her mic skills shine through.  aj is a great actress: she looked terrified when kaitlyn pushed her into the corner. now, in the olden days of the attitude era, two things would have happened that will not happen in the PG era WWE: kaitlyn would have had a male counterpart to deal with big e and big e would have done some type of physical harm to kaitlyn to protect aj. but in this pg era, big e only pulls kaitlyn off of aj. i honestly thought kaitlyn would back down from big e. but kaitlyn decides she is she-woman and she's done being aj's favorite monkey puppet. my girl kaitlyn hauls off and slaps the CRAP out of big e. let's face it, he;s had that coming for quite a while. but oh no! kaity's not done yet. she spears the hell out of aj. i'm not kidding. go to youtube and check it out. i'm talking full-on "i'm a defensive lineman and i'm taking out you, your quarterback, and yo mama!". she nailed that girl to the floor. hands down the best segment this year from any of the divas. AMAZING!!!

natalya is wrestling more - at least it appears that way. i still think she should have been kaity's secret admirer, they could have gone so many ways with that, from nattie building her up to tear her down, to everybody sending kaity texts to destroy her.

TNA's gail kim and taryn terrel: WOW! what these two are doing in TNA is what WWE did when they were WWF, and WWE need to take note of that fact. There is a reason TNA's knockout segments are consistently the company's higher ratings draw: the ladies are beautiful and they kick @$$ in the ring. in spite of what many say about gail backstage antics and bad behavior, make no mistake about it, she is the best female technical wrestler on television today. keep in mind, both of these ladies are former divas. look at their work then, then look at their slammiversary and ladder matches. i knew gail could go like that. but i never expected it out of taryn. incredible work. some of those spots left me speechless. they put on the two best ladies matches of 2013. again, incredible. well done ladies, very well done.

vickies guerrero firing - i love vickie. she's great. whether she is the feisty cougar or the annoying gm, i love seeing her on tv. granted she doesn't have the best voice, but that's part of her "charm".  on RAW, the fit she threw when steph fired her was classic vickie, who we hadn't seen in a while. then she attacked brad maddox, which was hilarious, then vince took his jacket back. and of all the people on the roster, ryback is the one who comforted her (that needs to be a storyline). on smackdown, she bought a ticket, went to ringside, scuffled a little with lilian over the mic, and demanded her job back. teddy long came to ring, called for security, lilian took back the mic, and vickie was escorted out. i sincerely hope WWE is not done with her. she is a credit to the roster. she is the only talent who can generate that much heat with the audience with just one word "EXCUSE ME".

the bad...
alicia fox losing - the ball has been dropped with her. completely. i know they use her to help the NXT girls, but she is better than that. honestly, management needs to switch alicia's role with the bella's role. put alicia on the main roster as the mean pretty girl with an entourage. demote the bellas to nxt to work with the talent. but it won't happen. someone somewhere thinks the bellas are golden eggs.

the ugly...
layla - ....use her. i like her as kaity's mentor. but she needs to be a heel. that's been her best role ever on screen. stop using her to support kaity, who is a headcase. if nothing else, have her turn on kaity and become the big bad layla we know she can be.

bill demott - there is a rumor going around that he is sexually harassing the NXT female talent. and the girls won't complain because they don't want to lose their "spot" on the roster. and management may or may not know about it. if WWE has a strenuous drug policy, shouldn't they do the same with sexual harassment?

aksana - i still have high hopes for her, but she's not improving.
